“Bando 2 (Reloaded)”
A study of the urban growth of Mexico City and it’s Metropolitan Area.
The study proposes a re-design of the so called “Bando 2” law established in 2000 by the local government, with the intention of reverting the uncontrolled sprawl of the city towards the outskirts, making the most of the already existing services and infrastructure. The law had good intentions, but lacked in depth. This case study attempts to propose a more profound urban integration.
